Roberto Sierra to be featured on Chicago's WFMT

The music of Professor Roberto Sierra will be featured on Chicago's WFMT radio program Fiesta, on Saturday, November 4 from 7–8pm.

Fiesta is a weekly classical music program devoted to Latin American and Iberian music from the 16th to 21st century, and brings artistically and historically significant compositions and artists to its listeners.

In highlighting Professor Sierra, Fiesta writes: Roberto Sierra is one of the most important living composers of contemporary classical music.  Sierra’s work draws from the 20th century avant-garde music and the 19th century romantic traditions alike and synthesized his European and Latino influences. Host, Elbio Barilari will pick some of his favorite pieces from this composer’s vast catalogue, including his Caribbean Rhapsody.

For those outside of Chicago, the program can be streamed through WFMT's website.
