Rachel Horner joins Indiana University as Visiting Lecturer in Folklore and Ethnomusicology

Rachel Horner, who recently completed her PhD in Music and Sound Studies, has accepted a visiting lecturer position in the Folklore and Ethnomusicology Department at Indiana University. Rachel will offer undergraduate and graduate courses ranging from large surveys to dedicated seminars in her research areas. Home to one of the longest standing folklore institutes and one of the most distinguished ethnomusicology programs, IU is the only university in the country with a department that combines folklore and ethnomusicology, offering a unique opportunity for students and faculty to work across these disciplines toward a more holistic understanding of cultural practices.
