After its world premiere at the Tanglewood Summer Festival in 2022, on January 3-5 of this year, the Oslo Philharmonic performed Elizabeth Ogonek's Starling Variations under the direction of Elim Chan for their New Year’s program.
After ringing in the new year in Oslo, Ogonek’s work migrated back to the states. On January 12-14, the San Francisco Symphony performed the premiere of Moondog, also under Elim Chan (the program can be found here). Upcoming concerts in February and March with Gavle Symphony Orchestra in Sweden and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra feature Ogonek’s piece as though birds.
