Samuel Dwinell (Ph.D. '17) has been appointed Postdoctoral Resident Scholar and Visiting Assistant Professor of Music in the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University Bloomington, beginning Fall 2018. Sam's Ph.D. dissertation, "Blackness in British Opera," received the 2016–17 Donald J. Grout Memorial Prize. Since defending his dissertation in 2016, Sam has held the position of Assistant Professor of Instruction in the School of Music at The University of Akron.
