Getting to Ithaca
Two airlines service Ithaca: USAir and Northwest. For information about prices and flight schedules see http://flyithaca.com
There is also a bus (Shortline; http://www.coachusa.com/shortline) that goes from the Port Authority (42nd and 8th Ave) in NYC to Ithaca. The ticket booth is on the second floor of the Port Authority, and the departure gates are on the 3rd floor (307 through 314). Tickets can be purchased in the Port Authority; be prepared to pay with cash. Depending on when you get in and who will be picking you up, you have a number of points in Ithaca where the bus can drop you. The trip takes approximately 4.5 hours.
There are more options if you look at other regional airports: Syracuse, Elmira, and Binghamton. These are all between 1-2 hours drive to Ithaca. The Syracuse airport has three options to get to Ithaca, listed below. See also http://www.syrairport.org/faq.cfm.
